  • 3. In 155 Cao Cao was born. He was later a warlord and Chancellor of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
  • 4. Cao Cao was the founder of Cao Wei state and became Emperor Wu of Wei later.
  • 5. In 161 Lui Bei was born. He was later a warlord and founding emperor of Shu Han later.
  • 6. Lui Bei was known as the humane ruler who cared for his people and selected good advisors for his government.
  • 7. In 182 Sun Quan was born. He was the son of the founder of Eastern Wu
  • 8. Sun Quan ruled Eastern Wu after his father, Sun Jian, died. He became the Emperor of Wu later. Sun Jian Sun Quan
  • 9. Lui Bei Guan Yu Zhang Fei We three though of different families, swear brotherhood, and promise mutual help to one end. We will rescue each other in difficulty; we will aid each other in danger.

  • 14. Yuan Shao Dong Zhuo Yuan Shao stormed the palace and massacred the eunuchs, while Dong Zhuo seized power and deposed Emperor Shao.

  • 21. In 195 Cao Cao laid siege Yanzhou. Lu Bu abandoned Yanzhou and moved to stay with Liu Bei.
  • 22. In 196 Lu Bu turned on his host, Lui Bei, and seized Xiapi.
  • 23. In 196 Cao Cao could control Emperor Xian in Xuchang.
  • 24. Lu Bu In 198 Lu Bu defeated in the Battle of Xiapi by Cao Cao and was executed. Cao Cao
  • 25. In 199 Liu Bei seized Xuzhou from Cao Cao and placed Guan Yu in control of Xiapi.
  • 26. In 199 Cao Cao reclaimed Xuzhou, and Guan Yu surrendered and entered Cao Cao’s service.
  • 27. In 200 Guan Yu left Cao Cao’s service and headed to find Lui Bei and Zhang Fei.
  • 28. In 200 Sun Quan accessed to the throne and became the Emperor of Eastern Wu.
  • 29. In 207 Cao Cao became Chancellor in Northern China and use the name of eradicating rebels, with the reluctant approval of the Emperor Xian to destroy his enemy.
  • 30. In 207 Lui Bei met Zhuge Liang 3 times, and he finally entered Liu Bei’s service.
  • 31. Zhuge Liang presented the Longzhong Plan to Liu Bei, and predicted that China would be divided into 3 kingdoms.
  • 32. In 208 Zhao Yun, Liu Bei’s General, distinguished himself at the battle of Changban. He came back with Liu Bei’s infant son Lui Shan in his arms.
  • 33. Sun Quan Lui Bei In 208 Zhuge Liang went to Eastern Wu to negotiate the alliance between Liu Bei and Sun Quan.
  • 34. With Zhuge Liang’s strategy and Zhou Yu’s power, Cao Cao defeated at the Battle of Red Cliffs by the allied forces of Sun Quan and Liu Bei.
  • 35. In 210 Zhou Yu died at age 35 in Baqiu. Zhou Yu always served Sun Quan with humility and care.

  • 40. In 220 Cao Cao died in Luoyang at the age of 65, failing to unify China under his rule.
  • 41. In 221 Cao Pi, usurped the throne and established the Kingdom of Cao Wei.
  • 42. In 221 Liu Bei also declared himself Emperor and established the Kingdom of Shu Han.
  • 43. In 221 Zhang Fei was assassinated during his sleep. Then the murderers brought his head to Eastern Wu. Liu Bei was severely stricken.
  • 44. In 221 The Battle of Xiaoting started.
  • 45. In 223 Liu Bei defeated at the Battle of Xiaoting and died. His son Liu Shan succeeded him as Emperor of Shu Han.
  • 46. In 223 Zhuge Liang became Chancellor of Shu Han and reaffirmed the alliance with Eastern Wu.
  • 47. In 225 Zhuge Liang won Meng Huo 7 times and finished the war. The territory of Shu Han was expanded widely.
  • 48. In 228 Zhuge Liang started Northern Expeditions.
  • 49. In 229 Zhao Yun died at Hanzhong. Liu Shan said, “I relied on his loyalty to save me from great danger. That’s why I am bestowing him the honor.”
  • 50. In 234 the Battle of Wuzhang Plains between Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi started. Zhuge Liang Sima Yi
  • 51. In 234 Zhuge Liang died at the age of 54. Following Zhuge Liang’s death, Jiang Wei became his successor since then.
  • 52. In 247 Jiang Wei started his first Northern Expeditions.
  • 53. In 251 Sima Yi seized complete control of Cao Wei, and died. He was honored as Emperor Xuan of Jin Dynasty.
  • 54. In 252 Sun Quan died at the age of 70. Crown prince Liang succeeded him.
  • 55. In 263 Cao Wei conquered Shu Han. This was the end of Shu Han. Liu Shan surrendered to Cao Wei and spent his entire life in Luoyang. He died in 271.
  • 56. In 265 Sima Yan, the grandson of Sima Yi, founded the Jin Dynasty, and this was the end of Cao Wei.
  • 57. In 280 The Jin Dynasty conquered Wu, and this was the end of Wu Kingdom. It became the de facto ruling dynasty in China.
