  3. 3. As Graduation Dayapproached, the youngman awaited signsthat his father hadpurchased the car.
  4. 4. Finally, on the morningof his graduation, hisfather called him intohis private study. Hisfather told him howproud he was to havesuch a fine son, andtold him how muchhe loved him.
  5. 5. He handed his son a beautifullywrapped gift box.
  6. 6. Curious, and somewhat disappointed, the young manopened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible,with the young mans name embossed in gold.
  7. 7. Angry, he shouted at his father and said"with all your money, you give me a Bible?"and stormed out of the house.
  8. 8. Many years passed and the young man had become verysuccessful in business. He had a beautiful home andwonderful family, but realized his father now was gettingold, and thought perhaps he should go see him.
  9. 9. He had not seen himsince that graduationday. Before he couldmake arrangements,he received a telegramtelling him his fatherhad passed away,and willed all of hispossessions to his son.He needed to comehome immediately andtake care of things.
  10. 10. When he arrived at his fathers house,sudden sadness and regret filled hisheart. He began to search through hisfathers important papers and saw thestill gift-wrapped Bible, just as he hadleft it years ago.
  11. 11. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His fatherhad carefully underlined a verse, Matt.7:11, "And if ye, being evil, knowhow to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall yourHeavenly Father which is in Heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
  12. 12. As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of theBible. It had a tag with the dealers name, the same dealer whohad the sports car he had wanted. On the tag was the date ofhis graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL.
