    • Enlightened Minds
      & Blossomed Lotus
    • As a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born in the world, raised in the world having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world
      Buddha
    • To keep the body in good health is a duty, for otherwise we shall not be able to trim the lamp of wisdom, and keep our mind strong and clear. Water surrounds the lotus flower, but does not wet its petals.
      Buddha
    • The one who wanders independent in the world, free from opinions and viewpoints, does not grasp them and enter into disputations and arguments. As the lotus rises on its stalk unsoiled by the mud and the water, so the wise one speaks of peace and is unstained by the opinions of the world.
      Buddha
    • When the heart is open the lotus blossoms where there appeared to be no lotus
      unknown
    • But when one masters this wretched desire, which is so hard to overcome, then one's sorrows just drop off, like a drop of water off a lotus.
      Buddha (563 - 483 BC)
    • Say not, "I have found the truth," but rather, " I have found a truth. "Say not, "I have found the path of the soul."  Say rather, "I have met the soul walking upon my path."For the soul walks upon all paths... The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.
      Kahlil Gibran (1883 - 1931)
    • Do not go to the garden of flowers! O friend! go not there; In your body is the garden of flowers. Take your seat on the thousand petals of the lotus, and there gaze on the infinite beauty.
      ~ Kabir
    • One who does all work as
      an offering to the Lord,
      abandoning attachment to
      the results, is as
      untouched by sin as
      a lotus leaf is untouched
      by water.~ BhagavadGita
    • A Lotus Grows in the Mud.
      ~ Goldie Hawn
      (November 21, 1945 - )
    • The defect of the body which
leads to sin is the mud puddle,
and this mind is the frog,
      which does not appreciate
      the lotus flower at all.
      ~ Sri Guru Granth Sahib
    • The heart-lotus blossoms forth,
      and eternal peace is obtained,
as one's light merges into the Light.
      ~ Sri Guru Granth Sahib
    • A blue flower tinted at dawn with gold, A broad flower blazing with light at noon, A flower forever with charms to hold His heart, who sees it by sun or moon.
    • Its beauty burns like a ceaseless fire,    And tower looks over the top of tower; For all mute things it would seem, aspire    To catch a glimpse of the lotus-flower.
    • The leaves break the bandage of the green stem, stretch themselves and form a green pool with untidy edges. Now the flower comes from out of the vast surface of the water,  just like a very beautiful woman coming gracefully from her bath.
    • He who overcomes this fierce thirst,
difficult to be conquered in this world,
      sufferings fall off from him,
like water-drops from a lotus leaf.
      ~ Friedrich Max Muller
    • That which makes the eye see, but cannot be
seen by the eye, that is the Self indeed.
This Self is not someone other than you.
    • “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!
      Live the life you imagined.”
      Thoreau
    • Adjust your brain to what your heart knows
    • The secret of health for both
Mind and body is not to mourn
For the past, not to worry about
      The future, nor to anticipate
Troubles, but to live in the present
      Moment wisely and earnestly.
      Buddha
    • The gift of Truth overcomes all gifts. The joy of Truth overcomes all pleasures. The taste of truth overcomes all sweetness. The loss of desire overcomes all sorrows.
    • Let us rise up and be thankful,
For if we didn’t learn a lot today,
At least we learned a little,
And if we didn’t learn a little,
At least we didn’t get sick,
      And if we got sick,
      At least we didn’t die;
So, let us all be thankful.
      Buddha
    • You,
      as much as anyone
      in the universe,
      deserve your love
      and respect.
      Buddha
    • If we could see the miracle
      of a single flower clearly,
      our whole life would change.
      Buddha
    • Never break four things in
      your life –Trust, promise,
relation and Heart. Because, when they break they don’t
make noise but pains a lot.
      Charles
    • In a day, when you don’t come
across any problem you can be
sure that you are travelling in
      a wrong path.
      Swami Vivekananda
    • Don’t compare yourself
      with anyone in this world.
If you do so, you are
      insulting yourself.
      Alen Strike
    • Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love;
This is the eternal rule. - Buddha
    • Flowers are words
      even a baby can
      understand.
      Quentin Crisp
    • Even if happiness forgets you a little bit,
      Never completely forget about it.
      Jacques Prevert
    • Just living is not enough.
      One must have sunshine,
      freedom, and a little flower.
      Hans Christian Anderson
    • The only thing that
      Overcomes hard luck
      Is hard work.
    • The purpose of life is
      The life of purpose.
      Robert Byrne
    • Words have the power to both
      Destroy and heal. When words
Are both true and kind, they
      Can change our world.
      Buddha
    • Holding on to anger is like grasping
a hot coal with the intent of throwing
it at someone else; you are the one
      who gets burned.
      Buddha
    • There are only two mistakes one can
Make along the road to truth; not
Going all they way, and not starting.
      Buddha
    • Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
      - Buddha
    • All power is within you,
You can do anything and everything….
      Believe in that
Do not believe that you are weak
      Stand up and express the
      Divinity within you.
      Swami Vivekananda
    • Thousands of candles can be lighted from a
single candle and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by
      being shared.
      -Buddha
