From A Water Glass
A water glass can teach you many life lessons.
Life is an exploration, and maybe certain lessons
must be experienced to be understood.
Here are 7 timeless life
lessons from a water
glass that we must
Lesson # 1 :
Free Your Glass
Zen Master poured his visitor’s water glass full, and
then kept on pouring. If it is overfull, no more will go
in! It’s like this water glass, you are full of your own
opinions and speculations.
You have to firstly
empty your water glass!!!
You can’t learn
You have to be willing to throw out
what you already know and have
a curiosity to explore new paths.
If your glass is already full,
The amount of junk you have in your lives, is
directly proportional to the amount of junk you
have in your minds! So free your water glass.
If you are full of
your own ideas,
there is no room
for new ones!!!
Lesson # 2 :
Don’t Fill Boiling Water
In A Cold Glass!!!
If you do - crack! You may break it. Heat expands.
When a thing expands it needs more room. Anger
in life is like the boiling water. By becoming more
aware of how you feel when you are angry,
You can take
control of it before
it takes control of you!!!
Next time you're confronted with an idea
that makes you angry or uncomfortable,
don't immediately dismiss it or attack it.
Even it is Yes or No,
There is something
to be gained!!!
Take a moment to evaluate whether it's
really a bad idea, or whether it merely
challenges your own preconceptions.
Lesson # 3 :
Half Empty Or Half Full?
Attitude is not just about your
outlook on life, it is also about…
that outlook will be!!!
There are no real secrets to living
a happy and fulfilling life
All it takes is to have a positive attitude along
with a proactive vision of what you desire
in your life and then you will discover…
that the secret
of living a happy life
is in your control!!!
Lesson # 4 :
Put The Ice In First,
Then Pour The Water
Ice before water, because more of the liquid
comes in direct contact with the surface area
of the ice cubes, thus making more liquid
colder faster. Also, judging exactly
how much space to leave
at the top for displacement
can result in overflow!!!
This encourages you to put first things first by
doing to the most important things in life, being
clear about your priorities and acting on them.
That sounds pretty easy and intuitive,
but many people unconsciously
fall into the trap of…
Getting caught up in
They neglect the larger life priorities until
it becomes too late. To become a master
of your time, you need to first be aware of…
Your priorities in
the larger context
of your life!!!
Lesson # 5 :
Broken Glass Of Water
When a glass breaks, it breaks into
many pieces and it is difficult
to put it back together.
So is a relationship!!!
We hope this will encourage you to keep all
of your relationships in a positive manner.
You can take care your water glass
or relationship very well…
By doing only good deed
And saying only good words!!!
Lesson # 6 :
Put The Glass Down!!!
Your hand will
begin to hurt!!!
“What will happen if I hold a water
glass for a few minutes?”
“If I hold it for an hour like this,
what might happen?”
The problems and worries in life are
like that glass of water. It’s important
to remember to let go of your problems.
Remember to put
the glass down!!!
“I have lots of that at work, but when I come
home, I remember to take it off – and leave
them outside. I don’t take them home with me.”
Maybe you should learn to do
that too. Starting today.
Remember to put
the glass down and
see the difference!!!
Lesson # 7 :
Water, Not The Glass!!!
Nor change the quality
of life we live!!!
Life is the water; the jobs, money and position
in society are the water glasses. They are just
tools to hold and contain Life, and the type
of glasses we have does not define,
Be assured that the water glass itself adds
no quality to the water. In most cases it is
just more expensive and in some cases
even hides what we drink.
What all of you really wanted was water,
not the glass, but you consciously
went for the best ones,
That is the source of
your problems and stress!!!
Take your time in reading them. Inwardly digest
them. Be challenged by them. Don’t discard them,
once you have read them. Read them more than
once. Seek to understand and ask yourself…
What are the lessons
I have just learned???
Thank You Very Much
