30 Time Tips

 1. 1. 30
Time Tips
2. 2. Manage Yourself First
Life is about being yourself. Someone only you can be…Someone only you can understand…Someone that is unlike everyone else. Someone that doesn’t copy others to look the same. Someone who is extremely unique. Because you are you. Be original. Be creative. Be yourself.
3. 3. Tip No. 1 : Motivate ourselves into action.Be our own cheer leader. Look
for the good in every situation. Focus on solution than problem.
Set your goals high, and don’t
Stop till you get there
Bo Jackson
4. 4. Tip No. 2 : Develop a sense of urgency. Make a habit of moving fast on
our key tasks. Become known as a person who does things quickly and well.
I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do. – Leonardo da Vinci
5. 5. Tip No.3 : Show up. Just show up and do what you need to do. Establishing
this habit can be a bit difficult if you are used to thinking – or over-thinking –
a lot. Just do it!
Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don't give up
Anne Lamott
6. 6. Tip No. 4 : Put the pressure on ourselves. Imagine that we have to leave
Town for a month, and work as if we had to get all our major task completed
before we leave.
Pressure is good!
7. 7. Tip No. 5 : Focus on the present. By attending to what is going on right now,
your concentration levels will be far greater. This means limiting your
distractions, no matter what you are doing.
There are many people who hold a tape recorded of
our lives in which they try to always rewind back to the
wrong things we have done; but the only thing that
matters is what we are recording now!
Dawn H.
8. 8. Tip No. 6 : Be flexible. Make sure you are flexible with your time. Sometimes
you can spend 5, 10, 15 minutes between each task!
Flexibility- The ability to curve your spine forward and backward, to twist it from side to side, and to
rotate your joints through their full range of motion.
9. 9. Tip No. 7 : Avoid being a perfectionist. Avoid attempting to be a perfectionist. if
youtry to make it perfect you will spend hours on trying to fix something that is
not fixable.
10. 10. Tip No. 8 : Conquer Procrastination. Procrastination is nothing but evil, so when
you tell yourself you will get it done today, you tell yourself right back and say NO
I will get it done now.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do.
11. 11. Tip No. 9 : Exercise and eat healthy. By exercising – and eating healthy – your
can improve your energy levels. And so you’ll simply have the energy to do
more and to avoid quite a bit of time spent being sick.
Exercise is what other people do when they don’t have cream cheese icing
12. 12. Tip No. 10 : Reward! Every time you accomplish a full list of things to do reward
yourself. Make sure you give yourself a pat on the back and say Good Job for
what you just did.
13. 13. Manage Others
Y
ou can only lead others where you yourself are
Prepared to go.
Lachlan McLean
14. 14. Tip No. 11 : Our time is literally stolen. This is where daily distractions such as people,
pets, telephone calls, checking email, etc rob you of your time. You must know
what’s robbing you of your time if you’re going to fully maximize your time.
15. 15. Tip No. 12 : Don’t let urgency take precedence over our priorities.Urgency are highly
important but you should not allow urgency to suck away all the time you need for
your priorities! Please quickly get back to what is truly important with your time.
16. 16. Tip No. 13 : Learn to say “NO” . Do you have the courage to say no? When people
ask you to do something, do you add it to your pile of duties? Honesty and courage
are both character strengths that are worth nurturing.
The art of leadership is saying no, not saying yes. It is very easy to say yes.
Tony Blair
17. 17. Tip No. 14 : Don’t spend time with negative people. The more you reduce the
influence they have on your life, the happier and more productive you can be.
18. 18. Tip No. 15 : Get support from others. To save time you really should delegate. Being able to turn to others and ask for help, will relieve your stress. You may even live longer with supportive friends and/or partner in your life.
Having a good boyfriend
Is like having a good bra,
Its all about support!
21. 21. Tip No. 17 : Create a to-do list for each day. This list should ideally be created the
night before so that there is no doubt about how the following day should take
shape.
22. 22. Tip No. 18 : Apply the 80/20 rule to everything.20% of our activities will account
for 80% of our results. Always concentrate our efforts on that top 20%. Tackle
tough job first!
23. 23. Tip No. 19 : Do the right things right! Make sure everything you do is amazing job
and it represents you how you want it to. The quality of your presence is so
important, don’t let one of your tasks ruin your reputation.
The time is always right
to do the right thing!
24. 24. Tip No. 20 : Focus on key result areas.Identify and determine those results that
we absolutely, positively have to get to do our job well, and work on all day long.
We are about driving results, delivering a return on your mission as well as your investment
Jay Griffin
25. 25. Tip No. 21 : Identify our key constraints.Determine the bottlenecks or choke
points, internal or external, that set the speed at which we achieve our most
important goals, and focus on alleviating them.
Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.
Hannah More
26. 26. Tip No. 22 : Slice and dice the task.Break large, complex tasks down into bite-sized pieces, and then do just one small part of the task to get started. We can accomplish the biggest and most complicated job if we just complete it one step at a time.
27. 27. Tip No. 23 : Do not double task. Double tasking makes it so you are not giving your 110% effort towards one task and can easily get distracted doing other stuff besides what your plan was to do.
I have a theory about the human mind.
