"I am not discouraged, Because every wrong attempt discarded isanother step forward." –Thomas Edison
# 1 : Every morning ask: “Is this what I want for myself?”Accept responsibility for making these things possible in your life. Know that it is youwho will get you where you want to go, no one else. Be honest with yourself. If youcatch yourself following the crowd on automatic pilot simply because it’s the easiestoption, it’s time to pause and reflect.
# 2 : Keep asking what you wantYou might get a portion of what you ask for, or help or guidance to get you closer to whatyou want or perhaps just encouragement to keep asking others, but asking for help willalways bring you closer to getting what you want. There is little or nothing to loose to askfor what you want and the clearly you are and more persistent, the better!
# 3 : Focus Your Thoughts on What You WantThis is to help you notice, concentrate, and think about everything that relates to the thingsyou want because of your thoughts. You will see more examples of ways to get what youwant and you will have those thoughts in many more situations. All these thoughts triggersmall actions which is what really makes the difference.
# 4 : Take a few small steps every single day.Don’t build mountains in your mind. Don’t try to conquer it all at once. Take everything instride, one step at a time. When you seek instant gratification you make life unnecessarilypainful and frustrating. When you choose instead to treat each moment as an opportunityto make a small, positive, long-term investment in your future, the rewards come naturally.
# 5 : Set Goals and Take Action To Make Them HappenIt doesn’t do much good to have a bunch of things you want if you are doing nothing toachieve them. They aren’t going to simple appear for you and you’ll need to put some effortinto making those things happen. Sometimes the wants you have are very grand and takegreat courage to make progress towards them and that is the whole point of setting goals.
# 6 : Exercise rock solid self-control.You are never going to get what you want until you learn how to do what’s right even whenit feels wrong. Every time you do what’s right by a decision of your will using discipline andself control to go beyond momentary feelings of weakness, you get that much closer towhat you want.
# 7 : Practice until you’re an expert, and keep practicing.Practice makes it possible. You are what you practice most. Whatever you decide to do,do it well. Do it so well that when others see you do it, they enjoy it so much that they wantto come back and see you do it again, and they also want to bring their friends along sothey can show them how incredible you are at doing what you do.
# 8 : Mind your thoughts and your words.Stop worrying about negative scenarios that are merely figments of your imagination.Allow your thoughts to encourage you rather than hinder you. Focus on the momentin front of you. Free yourself to deal effectively and successfully with what is real andwhat is now.
# 9 : Give back. The great Zig Ziglar once said, “You can get everything in life you want if you will just helpenough other people get what they want.” For it is in giving that we receive. In other words, what goes around comes around in this world. As we work to create light for others, wenaturally light our own way.
# 10 : Use Your Passion and Be EnthusiasticPassion is not something that can easily be contained and is exactly why it goes handin hand with enthusiasm. Its a contagious trait and will influence others you encounterto more readily help you. If you share your passion and demonstrate a high level ofenthusiasm for what you want, you are also more likely to get what you want.
# 11 : Surround yourself with people who lift you higher. The great danger of being around negative people is that you start to become like themwithout even knowing it. Relationships must be chosen wisely. Bad company corruptsgood morals and human potential. There’s no need to rush into a relationship you areunsure of, or associate with those who hold you back.
# 12 : Create balance. It is not enough to succeed at one specific goal; you also have to take part in thedifferent dimensions of your life – while you can, while there’s time. Keep your mindfresh, your body active and alive, and your relationships nurtured. Do so, and thethings you want most in life will come more naturally.
“Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer the goal.” Thank You Very Much Sompong Yusoontorn
