  • 2. Liu Bei, commonly called Liu Xuande, was a descendant of Prince Zhongshanjing. Liu Bei was born in Hebei Province. Started his life as a shoemaker and a weaver of mats, he made his name against the Yellow Turban Uprising and fought in wars all around China, finally becoming the first emperor of Shu Kingdom. Here are his 10 Leadership Lessons that we must know :<br />
  • 3. Lesson # 1 : Loyalty to friends and respect to the talents<br />He met Guanyu and Zhangfei and became sworn brothers at the Peach Garden and vowed to combine their strengths and efforts to restore peace and order to the country. He ever paid three visits to the home of Zhuge Liang, one of the most resourceful men in history. With sincerity and persuasion from Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang spent the rest of his life assisting the Shu rulers to govern the Kingdom. <br />
  • 4. Lesson # 2 : Know where to go and how to achieve<br />He knew that the priority things for him was that he must occupy a land where he can survive well with his military. He fought with his enemy under the guides of his military counselor named Zhuge Liang, who is very famous for his distinguished talent of military  commanding. Eventually, he succeed at owning a land that support him to be a emperor of Shu kingdom in the latter. <br />
  • 5. Lesson # 3 : Have a rightness and impartial attitude<br />One of his key general named Zhao yun had to rescue his son at the cost of possibility of losing his life. When Liu bei knew all the things that happened, instead of feeling happy for his son being caught back,<br />he showed his grateful to his general by throw his baby Liu chan down to the ground, saying that to save the baby almost sacrifice his wonderful general. It also made the general grateful for his appreciation. <br />
  • 6. Lesson # 4 : Have Foresight<br />Liu Bei understood the lessons from the past, the realities of the present, and the likely consequence of a decision for the future. It was deeply rooted within the intuitive mind .when he was young age, he knew that he want to be a emperor in the future, so he began to prepare for that by making close friends, doing exercise, and studying the knowledge about the military and battle. <br />
  • 7. Lesson # 5 : Listen to others’ opinion<br />Liu Bei listened to others’ opinion rather than make all the decision all by himself. He encompassed getting in touch with the voice from the counselor mainly he rely on, and maybe he did not know where to go but his counselor could make the right decision that led his military to succeed, and he always reinforced the skill by making a deep commitment to listening intently to others . <br />
  • 8. Lesson # 6 : Be humble to the talent person<br />Liu bei was a person of deserving to be serviced for his humble for all the person with talent. His fame reached the ears of others who was wondering where to go. There were more and more talent person would like to service for him just for his character of appreciating the person who had talent, so he accumulated enough talent persons ranged from counselor to warriors.<br />
  • 9. Lesson # 7 : Balance between family and friends<br />Liu Bei know how to balance the relationship between his sworn brother and others common general and soldiery. Sometimes when he encouraged his sworn brothers by awards or something else that will made other soldiery feel unfair. Liu Beihad to spent more time in balancing the relationship between them .  <br />
  • 10. Lesson # 8 : Transfer authority to the right person<br />Liu Bei had to trained the military and summon talents as more as possible so that he can defense from being invaded by other empire. Liu Bei insisted on appointing talent person in the important position which in some extend had decide whether they  can success or not in the end. Sometimes he even transfer his authority to other person like his counselor to take charge of all the power to the military. <br />
  • 11. Lesson # 9 : Have service leadership <br />The leadership style of Liu Beiwas service leadership. All the  generals were loyal to him and fight for him at the cost of losing their life because of his service leadership. Liu Beihimself was not so talent that could to be a good emperor, but his ability of attraction others by service leadership made him one the most successful leader in the 2000 years history of china . <br />
  • 12. Lesson # 10 : Have rightness character<br />Being a leader he or she must be integrity and rightness so that all the subordinate would like to abide by what his orders. Liu Beiwas good at his ethics that attract more and more talent coming towards him to service for him. It is the good character of rightness that made him to be succeed in the end. The leaders <br />can attract others by his rightness character. <br />

Lesson # 11 : Cannot control the temper<br />Liu beicould not control his temper after losing one of his sworn brother named Zhang Fei, he attacked another empire by all the military he had just for revenging for the death of his sworn brother, and eventually he lost the pivotal battle, after which he got a service sick that caused him to death, so never do things unwisely for the reason that something happened to you out of blue .<br />
  • 14. Lesson # 12 : Provide all the resource and trust<br />Liu Beiprovide all the resource and trust to his subordinates so that all his followers would like to service for him at any cost including their life, being a leader, the most important things is not the ability of the leader owns but the loyalty showed by other follows to him and the enthusiasm they had during the proceed of achieving their target guided by the leader .<br />
  • 15. Lesson # 13 : Assign the important job to the right person<br />Liu Beiknew that he was going to die very soon. He immediately told Zhuge Liang that if his son did not have the necessary qualities to be a king, Zhuge must make himself the king of Shu in Chengdu. ZhugeLiang wholeheartedly supported the young king until the day he died. Unfortunately, Liu Bei&apos;s son was one of the weakest and stupid Kings in Chinese history and finally lost the Kingdom to Cao Cao..<br />
  • 16. Lesson # 14 : Keep integrity and rightness<br />Being a leader, we should always keeping our integrity and rightness ,and show our loyalty to friend around us ,especially those with talent by which there will be more and more talent people would <br />like to service for you, and you can achieved more that cannot be fulfilled all by yourself without <br />the helping from them.<br />
  • 17. Lesson # 15 : Keep improving our personal ability<br />We should keep improving our personal ability or quality required to meet the demand of personal ambition. Liu Beialmost can do nothings without the help of his military counselor Zhuge Liang and <br />warriors like his sworn brother, and at last, when he lost a crucial battle with Wu kingdom, he was broken down completely by frustration and repeated defeats.<br />
