  4. The problem is that results will show up EVENTUALLY
  5. What about those who don’t have that LUXURY?
  6. What about those who need results NOW?
  7. Here are some FACTS
  8. When a small city needed a new brand to attract TOURISTS
  9. The following branding increased walk-in visitors 500%
  10. It started with the new identity and slogan
  11. Then a series of ICONS
  12. So travelers could identify what interested THEM
  13. Then a series of POSTERS
  14. We added some MERCHANDISE
  15. And made thirsty guests feel WELCOME
  16. The end result was a 500% increase in walk-in visitors in the first 12 months
  17. The following repackaging increased sales 20%
  18. In the first MONTH
  19. Why? Because 65 bins of coffee beans confused people while 4 categories of taste profiles enthralled people
  20. This next company increased 400% in the last 3 years
  21. Why? Because every package shipped was an opportunity to reach 5 to 10 more people
  22. So shipping boxes were made IMPOSSIBLE to ignore.
  23. And they still GREW to highest ever year in 2008
  24. And in this economy, this next client saw their highest sales in 2008
  25. Why? Because every tech company mistakenly talks about technology. Instead we spoke about the real reason technology works: People.
  26. This gourmet truffle maker saw sales increase in the first 30 DAYS (we’ll tell you how much soon)
  27. Keep in mind, there were NO new flavors.
  28. There were NO new promotions.
  29. There was NO new pricing.
  30. There were NO new sales personnel.
  31. There was NOTHING new except the packaging on their shelves.
  32. SO HOW MUCH?
  33. In the first month, sales of truffles increased 300%
  34. The next three months saw each month EXCEED each previous month’s sales
  35. So, we did MORE
  36. This product saw about a 20X increase in sales (same recipe inside, different “recipe” outside)
  37. We then created some SHAMELESS promotion
  38. Plus ads that SEDUCE the viewer
  39. So, if anyone tells you some fluff about results and branding, show them this, and know it’s NOT TRUE
  40. That was the politically CORRECT way of saying it
