Starts with the basics of how search engines work: How do search engines crawl and index the internet? What are some of the important factors that affect ranking of web pages in the search results?In particular, we look at some free tools that you can use to assess search engines’ coverage of your information, understand how your site is ’seen’ by search engines, identify problems, and improve the freshness and completeness of search engines’ inclusion of your site in internet search results.
