  • 10. Key questions for members and officers: How is the culture of the town hall going to change? How should councils support councillors active role in the community?
  • 11. research checklist developed with help from member development officers, leadership advisors and research on council's own published programmes

  • 14. responses So far there's been 215 responses from over 150 Local Authorities, across every region in England (and Wales)
  • 15. x114 offer PDP's to their members x 77 facilitate political mentoring x 49 offer ward/division 'walks' with officers and members x40 run sessions on effective opposition / administration
  • 16. x 115 provide detailed information at ward level x 97 provide guidance on community leadership roles x 103 encourage members to go to regional and national conferences and events
