BEAT LEADER BIO
George Chua is an artist whose work may adopt the form of a performance,
installation, or sound recording.
George’s work involves a keen interest in the interdisciplinary nature of sound art and
its extensive relationships with memory, invisibility, the body, theatre and cinema. He
continues to uncover the tension between the abstraction of sound and sonic fiction,
presenting ongoing interdisciplinary work under his Genealogy project. For
Genealogy, he has so far created installation and performance art using objects,
voices, body movement, video and sound.
He most recently participated in the Singapore Biennale 2006.
George uses a laptop computer as his primary music instrument. He performs his
solo work and group improvisations regularly in art spaces, theatres and clubs both
local and foreign. As a sound designer for theatre and film and was awarded “An
Honorable Mention for Special Achievement in Music by The Strait Times 4th Life!
Theatre awards.
George has been an associate artist of The Substation since 2002.

BEAT LEADER BIO
Joe composes and oversees the music & sound
production for Bokufilms' film and television projects.
His last work was Kelvin Tong's Best Director winning
\"Love Story\" that won the Best Director award at
2006's Singapore International Film Festival. Joe is
currently working on a TV series for Arts Central titled
Do Not Disturb. More upcoming works in 2007 include
Men In White and Maid 2
Having rocked the indie boat with Padres and weaved
various soundtracks for movies such as 'The Maid',
'Durian King and 'Eating Air'. Joe now hits the play
button on the CDJ blasting a riot mix of local and
garage music.

BEAT LEADER BIO
Ginette Chittick is a multitasker ninja, with her stubby little
fingers in the music, fashion, design and photography pies,
she's a non-DJ who just hits the play button on her favourite
tracks. Other stuff about her: Loves animals; lectures at
LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts; has put out live visuals at
OneDotzero, ResFest, Zouk, etc under the moniker Styra; co-
owns fashion labels, 'FrüFrü & Tigerlily' (which was nominated
for the fashion category in the Street Style Awards '05) and
'Murder.'; put out several shows with Wallwork Records
including The Tesseract, the RNDM series and co-produced
Baybeats '04 & '05; plays bass and sings with Astreal (which
was nominated for the music category in the Street Style
Awards '06), has performed both locally and overseas to
enthusiastic audiences, second album (Fragments of the Same
Dead Star) released under EMI Singapore in June 2006, out in
all good record stores; named Young Person of the Year by
AWARE in 2002, nominated for the Arts and Media category of
the 'Great Women of Our Time' 2006 awards by Women's
Weekly magazine.

Co-founder of Singapore's leading electronic dance music
consortium, www.frontallabs.com. With a DJ career which
started back in 1999, DJ Itchi aka Jason Teo has graced the
decks of numerous parties at some of the most prestigious
clubs from Zouk (Singapore), Centro 360 (Singapore) to Liquid
Room (Singapore), armed with with an arsenal of tune with
genres ranging from progressive house, breaks and trance.
Not only is Itchi the JUICE Mag DJ Quest 2005 winner, he also
went on later to impress the industry critics at the inaugural
Pioneer Pro DJ Digital Battle competition held in Zouk
Singapore and eventually became winning this competition.
Representing the island at the Regional Finals held in Zouk KL
later on, Itchi clinched the runner-up position. You can only
expect a mural of sounds when Itchi goes behind the decks!
