  2. 2. Operation Finally Home <ul><li>In 2005, Dan Wallrath of Houston, Texas decided to help veterans start a new life after they return from a war. Since then, Dan Wallrath’s dream has turned into reality by becoming the “Operation Finally Home” program . </li></ul>
  3. 3. Operation Finally Home <ul><li>Operation FINALLY HOME is an award winning program created by Bay Area Builders Association Support Our Troops (BABASOT). BABASOT was established in 2005 as a non-partisan/non-profit 501(c)3 organization. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Operation Finally Home <ul><li>Its mission is to provide custom-made, mortgage-free homes to wounded and disabled veterans and the widows of the fallen in an effort to get their lives back on track and become productive members of their communities. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Operation Finally Home <ul><li>This year, the San Angelo Home Builders Association has decided to participate in this program and has put together a team of volunteers who are donating time and materials to build a free home to an injured American Veteran. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Operation Finally Home <ul><li>The recipient for this home was announced recently at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo. United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal (retired) Samuel Marley and his family were chosen from a list of applicants that were wounded in recent wars. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Operation Finally Home <ul><li>Marley was injured in Iraq on November 3rd, 2007 and was emergency evacuated to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas where he was treated for burns and other extensive injuries. </li></ul>
  8. 8. Operation Finally Home <ul><li>Operation FINALLY HOME, Home Builders Association of San Angelo, and Clark Construction with support from the local community, will break ground on the Marley family home in The Bluffs within the next few weeks. </li></ul>

Operation Finally Home <ul><li>Costs are as follows: </li></ul><ul><li>Building Permit (2078 heated s.f.) $312.81 </li></ul><ul><li>Plumbing (12 fixtures) $83.50 </li></ul><ul><li>Electrical (up to 200 amp) $85.00 </li></ul><ul><li>Mechanical (up to 5 ton) $45.00 </li></ul><ul><li>Sprinkler System $28.00 </li></ul><ul><li>Total Permit fees: $555.00 </li></ul>
