    • One of the largest franchisee is Michigan, Dortch Enterprises, owns and operates 42 Subway restaurants in South Eastern Michigan. Subway is rated #1 franchisee in the country and has a rapid growth rate significantly increasing day-in and day-out .
  • Interesting Facts
    • Subway was started by a college student named Fred DeLuca and a family friend by the name of Dr. Peter Buck. Mr. DeLuca borrowed $1,000 from his business partner and together they started the company. Fred DeLuca is still the president of Subway.
    • The very first Subway restaurant opened on the 28 th of August, 1965. Fred DeLuca and Dr. Peter Buck started it and called the restaurant Pete’s Super Submarines.
