  6. 7. Attendance <ul><li>Excused absences include personal illness, family funerals, medical appointments, court appointments, church/religious trips, and family emergencies with explanation. A note must be provided to Mrs. Ortega in the attendance office within 2 school days of the absence. Be sure to get a doctor’s note for all medical appointments. </li></ul><ul><li>Unexcused absences include car trouble, missing the bus, sleeping in, renewing a driver’s license, truancy, etc. </li></ul>
  7. 8. <ul><li>Students will NOT receive credit for courses which exceed 9 (semester courses) or 18 (year-long courses) absences. </li></ul><ul><li>Absences may be recovered beginning in October on scheduled Wednesdays from 4:15-7:15 in the cafeteria. One hour of attendance recovery equals one period missed. </li></ul>

  9. 11. Lunch <ul><li>Where can you go? </li></ul><ul><li>You may eat in the main cafeteria area or in the 3 outside eating areas </li></ul><ul><li>The library will issue a limited number of lunch passes </li></ul>
  10. 12. <ul><li>The platform area is to remain clear during the entire lunch period </li></ul><ul><li>Lockers and areas outside of the designated eating locations are not accessible </li></ul><ul><li>Jr’s & Sr’s returning from lunch will wait in the designated eating areas. </li></ul>
  11. 13. WALK & TALK <ul><li>The increase in student population has caused some crowded walking areas. </li></ul><ul><li>Do not congregate during the passing periods. </li></ul><ul><li>Blocking the hallway is a hazard and prevents others from getting to class on time. </li></ul>
  12. 14. Transportation <ul><li>Bus riders must wait outside in the bus loop area. </li></ul><ul><li>The cafeteria will be cleared immediately after school. </li></ul>
