  • Good day, thanks for taking the time out of your business schedule to attend this webinar on ICD-10 Implementation for EV: The Next Generation.Hi my name is Hank Hikspoors – I am the director of Product development at T-System.Presenting with me today I have Kathi Hine which is a Clinical Solution Analysis at T-System.Lets get started.
  • 1- ICD-10 has about 500% more codes than what we are use to – ICD-9. ICD-10 is demanding more specificity to be added to the clinicians documentation.ICD-10 is not a coding problem. It is a documentation issue. The clinician’s documentation must contains the information necessary to have a very specific Diagnosis. Only then would we be able to produce a specific ICD-10 Code.2- We look at 4 common ICD-10 implementations approaches. These approaches had some advantages and disadvantages. Tread carefully when selecting vendors for your ICD-10 solution. Ask the right questions.3 - T-System’s ICD-10 implementation addresses the clinical documentation requirements for ICD10 specificity. The feedback mechanism make documentating a breeze and ensures maximum revenue for the service provided. The coding report makes it a breeze for coders to use. In the end, it maximizes Patient Care.
  • We know how busy you are and appreciate your willingness to provide us some feedback… I firmly believe it will be a mutually beneficial opportunity to spend this time together…

    2. 2. Proprietary and Confidential Information -- Do Not Distribute ICD-10 Realities 2 ICD-10 is a documentation problem not a coding problem. You can’t generate a code for documentation that isn’t there. Increased documentation demands could greatly reduce physician productivity – creating longer wait times, dissatisfied patients and reduced patient revenue. Relying on the clinician to select the right code, or the coder to decipher incomplete documentation, could result in claim delays or outright rejections. Despite the recently adjusted October 2015 deadline, the time to prepare for ICD-10 is now. T-System is ready to help you take advantage of this extra preparation time.
