An Icebreaker <ul><li>3 Basic Things </li></ul><ul><ul><li>What is your name? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Where were you born/ raised? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Where did you go to school or what did you do before SAC? </li></ul></ul><ul><li>As a child, what 3 professions did you want to have when you grew up? </li></ul><ul><li>Why are you taking this class? </li></ul>

What is BIOL 2401? <ul><li>This course is a study of the structure and function of the human body, emphasizing on the anatomy of organs and organ systems (integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous) </li></ul><ul><li>You will develop an understanding of these organ systems and their functions at a healthy state and at diseased states. </li></ul>

What to expect: <ul><li>Lots of reading </li></ul><ul><li>New terminology </li></ul><ul><li>Lots of memorization, lots of detail </li></ul><ul><li>Regular quizzes </li></ul><ul><li>Organ dissection </li></ul><ul><li>A better understanding of how the body works and an appreciation of how all the organ systems work together to keep us alive </li></ul>

Instead, I will drop your lowest grades at the end of the semester </li></ul>
