  2. 2. Who?<br /><ul><li>More than 200 000 people in Haiti have been killed and over 1.5 million people left homeless.
  3. 3. Over 6000 Canadians are victims in Haiti. 13 Canadians confirmed dead, more than 500 Canadians missing.
  4. 4. Everybody in Haiti is a victim.</li></li></ul><li>
  5. 5. What?<br />There was an earthquake in Haiti.<br />The earthquake caused a lot of destruction and death.<br />
  6. 6. Since the roads were gone the planes and boats could not give them the supplies they needed.<br />Helicopters have been dropping supplies to build roads. <br />
  7. 7. What will you do to help?<br />
  8. 8. Where?<br />
  9. 9. The earthquake hit the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.<br />The epicentre of this earthquake was in Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital. <br />
  10. 10. When?<br />The earthquake in Haiti happened on January 12, 2010 at 4:53 p.m.<br />Before<br />After<br />
  11. 11. Why? <br />
  12. 12. The earth is separated in a bunch of different tectonic plates, like puzzle pieces. <br />
  13. 13. Imagine trying to push two puzzle pieces together that don’t really fit well. What happens? With the pressure of pushing, the pieces will break. That is what happened in Haiti.<br />
  14. 14. Please wear red and blue to show you care, and also please bring in your spare change.<br />All money raised will be donated to the Red Cross.<br />
