  • Every business application gets its start in life automating a business process, whether its to manage your customer interaction or financials, the goal is to streamline, and structure your business process for efficiency.
  • And while applications orchestrate these processes, they collect data along the way. The data is commonly stored in a form used by the application such as a transactional database or similar data store.
  • However, this data can be used for more than just managing the application process, it can be transformed into information so that people can make sense of it, and apply to their decision-making. Increasingly, business applications are being transformed into decision-making applications, or analytic applications through the use of reports, dashboards, and analytic views. The added benefit of an analytic application is to support decision-making, going beyond the original application purpose of automating a business process.
  • More and more studies from the academic and corporate worlds are proving that information can help people make more informed and better decisions.
  • This is why analytic applications are becoming so popular and driving the agendas of many of the leading application vendors. Data driven or analytic applications can enable better decision-making because the data within them are often just as if not more important than the processes they are automating.

  • Todays webinar is going to walk through the 5 different levels of BI that you can enable within your application. From the static level 1 style integration which includes your basic static report all the way to a highly interactive and powerful embedded analytics solution. We’ll cover each level in some detail and then Luke will show you a a demo that includes a little about the integration options and the ultimate end user experience.

And when we say native connectivity at Jaspersoft, we mean our BI server called JasperReports Server, can directly connect to a source system. We do not require an ETL tool like most vendors do to enable this connectivity. We have an ETL solution and in some cases where you want to extract and transform your data, then load into another environment, we can do that too using the leading open source ETL tool in the market in Talend.
