    • 515 surveys sent to Deans and Directors of CSWE accredited social work programs.
    • 140 respondents (27%)
    • Respondents represented 40 States
  • 3. Types of Programs
    • BSW only 60% (n=84)
    • MSW only 4% (n=6)
    • BSW/MSW 23% (n=32)
    • MSW/PhD 3% (n=5)
    • BSW/MSW/PhD 9% (n=12)

    • Range 12 – 1200
    • BSW Mean = 109 Median = 80
    • MSW Mean = 209 Median = 150
    • PhD Mean = 49 Median = 49

    • Range = 1985 to 2007
    • Most courses first taught between 1999 and 2001.

    • BSW only 35 (61%)

    • 97 of respondents named two or more courses in which international content is infused.
    • 6 stated all courses are infused with international content.

    • 40% (n=56) of respondents have international field placements.
    • Total of 136 countries used for field placements
  • 12. Opportunities for Social Work Study Abroad
    • 61% (n=85) provide opportunities for study abroad.
    • 144 countries listed as locations for social work student travel abroad.

    • Four major areas:

    • 3. Comparative Social Welfare Policy
    • 4. Social Justice
