Ground Turkey Recall Voluntary recall of 36 million pounds of ground turkey produced at the Springdale, Ark., plant Turkey had been contaminated with the salmonella bacteria The salmonella outbreak killed one person and sickened 76 The amount of turkey recalled was enough to fill 36 fully loaded Boeing 747 commercial airplanes
