Blood clear and definite, fertile seed, Blood the unbelievable journey, Blood as its own liberation, Blood, river of my songs, Sea of my abyss. Blood, painful moment of my birth, Nourished by my last appearance.

Death <ul><li>Murdered and Mutilated in January </li></ul><ul><ul><li>&quot;Unfortunately, these people were drunk, they were drugged, and after hanging out for a while they decided to kill her” Carlos Manuel Salas, attorney general for the state of Chihuahua </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Authorities denied that her activism and poetry where not related to her death </li></ul><ul><li>Her death took place 3 week after human rights defender Marisela Escobedo Ortiz was killed. </li></ul><ul><li>Amnesty International has said that since her death is not related to activism it does show the rise of crime in Juarez </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Chavez spent her life fighting against the feminicides in Juarez </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Protest and poetry </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Chavez fits under the Decolonial Imaginary because she advocated against the violence towards women and the organized crime. </li></ul><ul><li>She created poetry to open up awareness on the issue of feminicide. </li></ul>
