On the 6th and 7th of July 2013 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & info.nl/labs organised a hackathon concerning consular services and Open Data.
In 48 hours we build a digital prototype of our mobile app focussed on the Dutch traveler abroad. All important travel-documents are digitalised and in case of an emergency (robbery, theft, kidnapping, getting lost etc.) an assigned family member or other 'in case of emergency person' has access to your documents and can help you with handling your affairs and inform the Dutch Embasy.
Our app personalises the travel information of the user and keeps it up to date by combining
- Travel documents
- Addresses & maps
- Social information
- Foursquare & Facebook check-in API's
- Contact data of the consular services worldwide
- Travel Advice and Alerts (through real time push notifications and SMS).
Our team: Daniel Debie, Anthony Agustin, Matthew Agustin and Bonny Ruyter
