    • Library Catalog
      • Titles of Books
      • Titles of Journals, Magazines and Newspapers
      • Searches Simpson Library, Stafford Library , and 2 online books collections
    • Databases
      • Articles in Journals, Magazines and Newspapers
      • Company and Industry Information
    • Journal Finder
  • 4.
    • Use the Journal Finder :
      • When you already know what article you are looking for
      • If you want to see if the library owns a specific magazine, newspaper, or journal
  • 5. Journal Finder
  • 6.
    • Enter the name of the journal – NOT the title of the article
    • Click “Search”
  • 7.
    • Locate your publication
    • Check the years covered in the database
    • Click on the name of the database
  • 8.
    • Enter a portion of the article’s title
    • Change the Date option to “All Dates”
    • Click “Run Search”
  • 9.
    • Click the article’s title to access the complete document
    • You can email, print, and save the document

    • Click the drop-down menu by “Research by Subject”
    • Click on “Business – CGPS” to access suggested research resources
    • Click the “GO” button

    • Click on the icons to retrieve full text documents

    • To search for company financial information, click the “Companies/Market” selection in the top menu

    • Navigate between subject searches by using the tab selections at the top of the screen
    • The red tab indicates the subject you are currently searching
    • Click “Business” to search for company information

    • Perform a “Company Dossier” search
    • Enter your company name or ticker symbol
    • You can search for private or public companies
    • Click “Search”

    • Click the name of your company when it appears
    • Under “Company Type”, note the differences for parent vs. subsidiary, and public vs. private companies

    • Use the Reports menu to locate additional information on a company
    • Click “Financial Information” for financial details

    • You can download, print, or email any portion of the financial data

    • Under the Business subject area, you can search for SEC reports
    • Using the menu on the left, click “SEC Filings”

    • Enter a company name, ticker symbol, or keyword to retrieve full text SEC filings
    • Use “Sources” to search for a specific SEC form
    • Limit your searches by time period

    • Also under the “Business” subject area is an “Accounting” option
    • Search through a variety of full text accounting publications
    • Search by keyword
    • Select your Sources

    • Use an “asterisk” for multiple word endings - *
    • Phrase Searching - quotation marks
    • Avoid stop words like: in, an, of, for, on, by
    • Ask Librarians for assistance

      • Create an Illiad Account
      • Online forms to request non-Stafford materials
      • Give library lead time to process request
      • Delivered to Stafford Library
      • $2 fee for articles located from Simpson Library
