Training Infrastructure <ul><li>Bibliomist Program: In Ukraine since 2008 </li></ul><ul><li>25 training centers & curriculum: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>National Training Center in Kyiv; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>24 regional training centers in Ukraine; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>3 required training modules developed and offered to librarians; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>3 more training modules recently designed and tested. </li></ul></ul>

Training <ul><li>Training curriculum (3 modules/courses): </li></ul><ul><ul><li>IT basics; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Internet as a library service; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Innovative services and fundraising. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>3 more new modules developed & tested: </li></ul><ul><li>intellectual freedom; web 2.0; advocacy </li></ul><ul><li>Participants of the trainings are evaluated 3 times: at the beginning of their training, at the end of the training, and in half a year. </li></ul>

Training Program Update <ul><li>The NTC trained 48 trainers and 25 coordinators in administration of training centers and the system of learning </li></ul><ul><li>About 5,000 librarians have been trained in the framework of the 3 modules in Ukraine </li></ul><ul><li>CPC PLMs held </li></ul><ul><li>43 Bibliomist contests’ winners became Library Leadership Program-II fellows. </li></ul><ul><li>LLP-II fellows went to Poland to study the experience of libraries and implement library innovations & community development projects in Ukraine. </li></ul>

Trainers Needs and ToT <ul><li>conducted a survey of trainers to </li></ul><ul><li>understand their needs ( March 2011) </li></ul><ul><li>identified the need to create a web resource for exchange of materials (90% trainers) </li></ul><ul><li>ToTs held to promote interactive forms of adult learning (February-April 2011) </li></ul>
