  • Training Bibliomist Program, Ukraine National Conference of Librarian Trainers December 8, 2011 Sinaia, Romania
  • Training Infrastructure
    • Bibliomist Program: In Ukraine since 2008
    • 25 training centers & curriculum:
      • National Training Center in Kyiv;
      • 24 regional training centers in Ukraine;
      • 3 required training modules developed and offered to librarians;
      • 3 more training modules recently designed and tested.
  • Training
    • Training curriculum (3 modules/courses):
      • IT basics;
      • Internet as a library service;
      • Innovative services and fundraising.
    • 3 more new modules developed & tested:
    • intellectual freedom; web 2.0; advocacy
    • Participants of the trainings are evaluated 3 times: at the beginning of their training, at the end of the training, and in half a year.
  • Training Program Update
    • The NTC trained 48 trainers and 25 coordinators in administration of training centers and the system of learning
    • About 5,000 librarians have been trained in the framework of the 3 modules in Ukraine
    • CPC PLMs held
    • 43 Bibliomist contests’ winners became Library Leadership Program-II fellows.
    • LLP-II fellows went to Poland to study the experience of libraries and implement library innovations & community development projects in Ukraine.
  • Trainers Needs and ToT
    • conducted a survey of trainers to
    • understand their needs ( March 2011)
    • identified the need to create a web resource for exchange of materials (90% trainers)
    • ToTs held to promote interactive forms of adult learning (February-April 2011)
  • TOTs (Work in Groups)
  • Ice breakers
  • Web Resource Regional Training Centers
    • created at the initiative of RTC trainers and developed pro bono by the Crimean RTC
    • Content generated by common efforts of trainers
    • communication takes place in
