  • 1. FINDING THE FULL ARTICLE IN EBSCOAND PROQUEST
  • 2. AFTER THIS YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO: Locate the link to Serial Solutions in databases provided by Ebsco Host and ProQuest Be able to identify the 3 parts of the Serials Solution page (Search Criteria, Holdings, and Additional options), Using Fusion Plus, locate ISU holdings and call number information Using the Serial Solutions ILL link, fill out an ILL request for an article.
  • 3. EBSCO SERIALS SOLUTIONS LINK In the results list, under the result. To the left of the full article details.
  • 4. PROQUEST SERIALS SOLUTIONS LINK In the results list, under the result. To the right of the full article details.
  • 5. ARTICLE/JOURNAL SUMMARY Fastest way to read the full article Links to another database ISU has access to May link to journal. You will need the search criteria information to find the exact article.
  • 6. SERIALS SOLUTIONS PAGE:SUCCESSFUL IN FINDING ARTICLE Bibliographic information for article Will have to find article in journal listing. Takes you straight to the article.
  • 7. ISU COLLECTION SUMMARY Physical copy located in the Cunningham Memorial Library To search use Title: [title of journal] and Subject: “Periodicals” “Call Number” tells you where in the library the item is. Majority of journals located in the basement ISU may not carry every volume. Consult holdings to see what we have. Distance students my request a copy of the article we hold to be sent through ILL. All other requests will be denied.
  • 8. SERIALS SOLUTIONS PAGE:FIND AT ISU – STEP 1/5 Copy Journal title for search. Full text not found in other databases. Link to Fusion.
  • 9. FIND AT ISU – STEP 2/5 Click Click
  • 10. FIND AT ISU – STEP 3/5 Paste title from SS page Type in Select Title and Subject using pull down menus
  • 11. FIND AT ISU – STEP 4/5 Click title to see if ISU has the item.
  • 12. FIND AT ISU – STEP 5/5 Full list of ISU holdings. Record “Location” and “Call No.” information to find the volume in our library. View availability and full list of volumes ISU has.
  • 13. INTERLIBRARY LOAN (ILL) SUMMARY This options takes the longest amount of time (7-10 business days) Must have an ILL account before you can request an item. Clicking the link “ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan) will automatically fill out the form. You will receive an email when your article arrives. You can read the article by logging into your ILL account and clicking “Electronically Received Articles” under “View” on the sidebar.
  • 14. ILL - STEP 1/3 Sign in using the Username and Password you created when you signed up.
  • 15. ILL - STEP 2/3 Clicking ILL Link in SS autofills the form Click Submit to send
  • 16. ILL - STEP 3/3 Click to view your article when it arrives
