Students demonstrated a clear understanding of portraiture andself imagery through object and mirror drawing.Finished products all reached an above average level.The learning objectives were met through the extremely variedactivities which engaged a wide range of design and reflectiveskills from concrete to abstract to implied.Students were able to reach all descriptors through the use ofrubrics, viewing of exemplars and ongoing peer, teacher andgroup assessment in formal and informal ways.Students were able to effectively and accurately evaluate theirwork and reflect on their strengths and weaknesses so thatthose skills could be focused on in future assignments (forexample, shading on a gradient, blending colours seamlessly).
