  • 1. b-m e t .co m http://www.b-met.co m/blo g/nerja-do nkey-sanctuary-malaga/#.USensB2eNcwNerja Donkey Sanctuary MalagaadminIf you are visiting the Costa del Sol in 2012 or in the not toodistant f uture and are looking f or things to do on your holiday,why not pop along to the Donkey Sanctuary in Nerja?T he donkey sanctuary was setup in June 2004 and is run by agroup of dedicated and caring volunteers who have given solaceto many abused and mistreated donkeys, mules, horses andother animals.Since 2004, the sanctuary have rescued hundreds of equinesand other animals including pot bellied pigs, goats, chickens andcats to name just a f ew.T he sanctuary is a f ully registered charity and is f unded entirely by donations but sadly receives nogovernment f unding or f inancial assistance which is hard to believe.T he volunteers at the the donkey sanctuary have given so much to make sure that these poor destitutecreatures can live out the rest of their lives in an environment where they are loved and well treated.If you would like to volunteer as a helper, the sanctuary would be very pleased to hear f rom you. You canalso sponsor a donkey f or just 25.00 Euro’s per year which will go a long way in helping to pay f or f ood,bedding, treatments and other vital equipment.NDS also provide weekly “Hippotherapy” sessions on Tuesday and Friday af ternoons which is used to

T he kidsespecially will just love it!How Much Does It Cost?Entry is f ree but donations are more than welcome to help keep the donkey sanctuary operational.
