      • Choose a diet that has a variety of fruits and vegetables.
      • Choose a diet that is low in fat and cholesterol.
      • Choose a diet that provides plenty of calcium and iron.
      • Choose a diet with plenty of grains.
    • What you can do as parents
      • Encourage your child to eat healthy.
      • Provide healthy snacks that are convenient.
      • Be a role model by having a healthy diet yourself.
      • Make sure your child gets plenty of exercise.
