    • 4. flowers<br />Flowers are the parts of plants that make the seeds for reproduction<br />
    • 5. Seeds<br />Allow the plants to reproduce<br />(Make more plants that are the same)<br />
    • 6. Roots<br />Grip the plant to the soil<br />Absorb water and nutrients from the soil<br />Stores food for the plant<br />
    • 7. STEM<br />Support the leaves and flowers<br />Carry water and food to different parts of the plant<br />
    • 8. Leaves<br />Leaves are responsible for photosynthesis, respiration, and transpiration<br />
    • 9. How does a plant grow?<br />
    • 10. Photosynthesis<br />
    • 11. Transpiration<br />Water molecules evaporate into the atmosphere<br />This is how the plant is able to stay alive, if there is not enough water, the plant will die <br />
    • 12. Respiration<br />Plants breath in Carbon Dioxide (C02) and breath out oxygen<br />Humans breathe in oxygen and breathe out CO2<br />
    • 13. What do we need to plant a flower?<br />A pot<br />Seed<br />Soil<br />Water<br />Sunlight<br />
    • 14. Step by step- follow along<br />1st: Gather your materials<br />2nd: Place your pot in front of you<br />3rd: Write your name on your pot with permanent marker<br />4th: Fill your pot ¾ full with soil<br />5th: Pour the seed packet into the soil<br />6th: Pour the rest of the soil over the seeds, to the top of the pot<br />7th: Sprinkle water over your plant<br />
    • 15. What to do for the next week<br />Make sure that your plant is on the window seal <br />Water on a daily basis<br />Once your flower has grown you may take it home <br />
