  • Today we will dive into some specific social media tools which will be featured at Sage Summit. But keep in mind, there are so many sites out there as well.If you have not yet dived in to social media, Summit is an excellent “laboratory” to get your feet wet and understand how the connections and interactions work on a smaller scale before going “public”
  • Online platforms for dialogue. Based on sharing information: That’s the purpose of pushing SM for Sage Summit. We want you to use it as a means to make connections before, during and after the event. Social media is a great way to make connections, but also to share information, and have some FUN
  • No matter the platform, social media is content-centered. The best interactions via social media are those that are personal and true. Transparency and authenticity are key – show your personality. It’s not about pushing your product or service, its about creating an atmosphere that’s approachable and fun – that makes people want to interact with you and expands your influence.
  • Today, we are going to focus solely on the tools being used for Sage Summit, and will use onsite at the event:FB, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, FourSquare, blogs…and we’ll also have a look at the Sage Summit Mobile App since it connects so well to much of the social activity going on at the conference.Social media is device-indifferent – can be used on PCs, phones, iPadsSocial platforms are highly integrated with each other – you can connect FB to Twitter to LinkedIn to share your messaging easily across platforms.Tools to help manage them easily…many free…hootsuite, tweetdeck
  • On Facebook, social connections are being built at unprecedented scale. 500M users are logging in daily, and 250M photos are being uploaded and commented on.
