  • 2. What is Emulation? ● Imitating a program or electronic system ● Video games are easy to emulate ● Run files called .roms
  • 3. What is a Rom? ● The coding that makes up a game ● Games cannot run without roms ● Roms hold everything that makes up a game

  • 5. Is this legal? ● Absolutely! ● Do not download a console or game you have not purchased beforehand ● You cannot tell people where to find emulators or roms.
  • 6. Why use Emulation? ● It’s fun ● Allows us to replay some of our favorite games ● To be able to replay games that you may have but cannot because of a broken console
  • 7. What can I Emulate? ● Only games and consoles you have already paid for at some point ● NES ● SNES ● Gameboy (original, color, advance) ● N64 ● PSOne

  • 10. Find an Emulator ● Pick what system you would like to emulate ● Use google to find a website that allows you to download the emulator. (trust me, there are tons) ● Download and install
  • 11. Familiarize Yourself ● Save states ● Frame skips ● Experiment with different emulators
  • 12. Find some Roms ● Pick what games you want to play. ● Use google again to search for websites that will let you download roms. ● Download

  • 17. Editing Controls ● Controls can be tricky ● Edit your control scheme layout to fit you ● Be familiar with your Emulator
