INTRODUCTION Mobile devices are revolutionizing the way our nation consumes information. The School District Demographics System (SDDS) map viewer is now available for use on tablet devices(iPad and Android). This session presents an overview of current efforts to bring the SDDS to mobile devices and some technology incorporated into it.
MOBILE COMPUTING Mobile Computing has been growing exponentially over the past few years. More and more people are turning to mobile devices to accomplish their daily tasks. Wi-Fi, 3g, 4g, and other networks provide access to information any time anywhere in the world.
WHY ARE MOBILE DEVICES SO POPULAR? The ability to access information in an instant. You can also access some of your home and or work files by using cloud storage or remote desktop. They are just plain fun.
