Future continuous tense

  1. 1. FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE<br />
  2. 2. FORMATION:<br />SHALL/ WILL + TO BE + PRESENT PARTICIPLE OF A VERB (- ing)<br />
  3. 3. USES :<br />We use FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE to describe actions ongoing in the future, after the act of speaking :<br /> ex. a. This time tomorrow I’ll be flying over France on my way to Italy.<br /> b. They will be measuring in thousands of seconds in 2050.<br />
  4. 4. .This tense is also used to indicate that a longer action wil be interrupted by a shorter action in the future : <br />eg. a . I shall/will be watching TV when she arrives tonight.<br /> b. Everybody will be sleeping when we enter the house.<br />
  5. 5. Ex 1. Complete the sentences putting the verbs in brackets,in Future Continuous Tense :<br />Our lucky winner_____________(stay) at the luxurious Moore Hotel in a quiet pictoresque village near Woburn.<br />I can’t come out tomorrow because I__________(take) an exam between 9 and 11 a.m.<br />The boys_________(gather) wood for the fire.<br />What____you_______(do) Lucille?<br />Meet me at 7 p.m. I_________(wait) outside the theatre.<br />She ____________(feel) excited..<br />
