  • Holiness as an Event: Positionally & Practically At the Event Positionally – you are set apart – sanctified – made holy. Practically – you are enabled, by abiding in Christ, to live a holy life from the inside out.
  • Holiness as an Event: Practically Practical Holiness doesn’t mean you are sinless or will be sinless on this side of death but that you are being molded into the image of Jesus.

  • Holiness as an Event: Positionally & Practically Ezekiel 36:25-28 – I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols.

  • Summary Positionally Christians are set apart – Sanctified You were made holy.
  • Summary Practically Holy Spirit’s Role He has written God’s Word on your new holy heart and has given you a desire to obey from your heart.
  • Summary Practically Christian’s Role All true Christians have a desire to obey God but only as they abide in Christ will they be enabled to obey from the heart.
