    • Control Design Platform Configuration and examples Hardware requirements  A controller (ex: Wago, Kontron, Weidmüeller, Beckhoff, IEI, Siemens, Icop) with Intel X86 or ARM9 compatible CPU or any standard PC/104 type controller with RTOS-32, Linux, Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded etc  Ethernet switch to connect controllers and I/O nodes  One or more I/O nodes: Wago, Phoenix Contact or similar ethernet connected i/o nodes, supporting modbus/udp, modbus/tcp protocol or any standard serial i/o  24V power supply  The user interface can run on the controller or a dedicated pc, panel pc / touch screen, or be made up of only buttons and switches in systems where no graphics are required.
