Eco schools

  2. 4. We went to the Town Hall to take part in the Eco School Forum
  3. 5. We spoke to lots of agencies about how they could help us.
  4. 6. Holly is giving us advice on our pond.
  5. 7. We want a green flag too!
  6. 8. Recycling <ul><li>Paper, plastic & Cardboard </li></ul>
  7. 9. We talked about how much rubbish our school can produce.
  8. 10. How Much??? <ul><li>We are collecting around 11 to 15 bags of recycling every two weeks. </li></ul><ul><li>That’s up to 390 bags a year! </li></ul><ul><li>We think we are doing well but we will keep trying to get better. </li></ul>
  9. 11. What do we recycle in school? <ul><li>We have collections for paper in our classrooms. </li></ul><ul><li>We collect plastic in special bins around the school. </li></ul><ul><li>Mr Whiston collects the cardboard from all our deliveries. </li></ul>

  12. 15. Manchester in Bloom Award We won first prize in the school category.
  13. 16. Leaves will rot down to make leaf mould, eventually!

  20. 23. Bronze Award <ul><li>We are applying for the bronze this term and are confident with all our work so far we will get it. </li></ul><ul><li>We need your help, all staff, children, governors and parents to move on and get silver next time. </li></ul>
