The French plan of biofuels development The French government has decided to go beyond European directives by laying down ambitious objectives of incorporation of biofuels into fuels: 5,75% (in energy value) in 2008, 7% in 2010 and 10% by 2015. Project example : Pyrobio Energy + RESULTS • Tests confirm the feasibility of an industrial-scale plant, which should achieve results higher than initially expected. • Phase 2 of the project with Tereos (development of an industrial-scale unit in order to process 5 tons/hour of vinasse) seems to be on track. A flexible pilot plant (multi raw materials) in order to avoid a priori choices and to be able to take advantage of future development of lignocellulosic biomass production.
