Biocat organized the Barcelona Emergence Forum (April 10-11th, 2014, Congress Palace, Montjuïc) supported by the TRANSBIO SUDOE, a translational cooperation project dedicated to innovation in life sciences in South-West Europe. The Barcelona Emergence Forum contributed to bringing together Academics, Companies, Investment Entities, Technology Platforms and Technology Transfer Offices from Spain, France and Portugal to set up collaborative projects on Human Health & Agro-food Innovation.

InnovaSuMMa project 8 • Continuing with previous experience in Galicia in PPI • InnovaSumma : based on the project developed by ASEBIO and adapted SERGAS priorities • Inspired in other European PCP projects • Aiming the introduction of technologies based on biomarkers for new patient assistance protocols based on Personalized medicine for Oncology

  10. 10. 10 Project executed in 3 stages /budget Stage 1 (opened to 8-10 companies ): 1month-long. scientific-technological proposals and the proposed work plan to the selected Galician Oncology services Stage 2 (opened to 6 companies): Six months-long. Evaluating the most promising projects resulting from phase 1, with real patients. Proving the selected technologies in real clinical environments Stage 3 (opened to 4 company): Six months-long. . Full deployment of the best technologies to evaluate the potential of biomarkers and change current clinical protocols in the area of oncology.
