Definition: SEO (Search Engine Optimization) – Formatting and selecting your content to maximize visibility on the internet and other forms of electronic communication. Definition: PR (Page Rank) – Is a rank value given to all websites by Google. A value of 1-10, with 10 being the highest. A good website that is SEOed gets a PR3, a great page gets a PR4, a good and popular site PR5, an great and popular site PR6, SEOed .edu sites PR7, Titter PR9 Internet Marketing has evolved to a broad marketing universe to include not only your website, but your website interconnected with social media mechanisms.   • 5/25/2010 The most common mistake in branding with YouTube videos is the same one made when selecting domain names. Do not use valuable real-estate in video title/name for your company name. Save your branding initiative for inside the actual video. Your video title/name should be decided after you do keyword research. REF: Http://www.YouTube.com/bin952 Just like website advertising, content is king. Make an entertaining AND informative video. Youtube is not just a website/page it is a social media outlet. So keep that in mind when creating videos and when marketing your video. Inspire questions and comments as this boost your video rank too. Rate your video or have a friend rate it.   • 5/25/2010 For most YouTube will be the lesser beneficial social media outlets. But you can change that with the right SEO optimization and design of your YouTube Channel and your videos. For us, our YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/bin952 results in the most sales, of all our social media presence. (video in this slide is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNn6IS3bTmE) The study by eyeviewdigital.com reveals the fact that using a video can increase your conversion to up to 80%. All the text, Channel title, etc. you want to use for valuable SEO optimization. Your company name branding can be done in your videos, like we did. (Assuming most the world is not searching for your company name, they are searching for products and services you offer.) Most companies do not know how to set up a YouTube channel properly and get subscribers. Many have less than a thousand subscribers. Just like a page title, you want it to target specific keywords. Just like with a website, every page and associated page title should target a different set of keywords. •Just like website advertising more pages on your site, the better. So for YouTube, the more videos the better. •Another very powerful yet unrealized link resource is embedding on other video sites.©2010 – Business Industrial Network (BIN95.com) 5
  • 5/25/2010 Submit your video AND YouTube channel to ALL search engines. (Create Google AdWords account. Then sign in to YouTube, select “My videos”, then select the video you want to create AdWords PPC keywords for, then click “Promote”.) Also note: what is most searched for in Google, may not be the same keyword phrase most searched for in YouTube. Do keyword research in Youtube first, the less words in each keyword phrase, the better for YouTube. Which is the opposite rule for Google and also makes PPC more profitable in YouTube than in Google. In our YouTube CPC programs, 80% of all our paid video views come from single keywords like “electrician”. Those additional views go that much further in ranking our video for more niche targeted keywords like “electrician training”. In Google AdWords you pay about $15.00 per click or more to get seen in a search for “electrician”, for YouTube it is about $0.02, a no brainer.©2010 – Business Industrial Network (BIN95.com) 6

  • 5/25/2010 Tube Toolbox is a must for marketing Youtube channel and videos. http://www.tubetoolbox.com/ You make people your friend on YouTube, then Youtube recommends to them that they subscribe to your YouTube channel. If the people you made your friend are interested in your channel’s videos, they typically will subscribe. So if you only make those who are potential customers (like maintenance and engineers and associated students and business associates your friends on YouTube, you will have a high conversion rate to subscribers.) that is where Tube Toolbox comes in, it will automatically find everyone who subscribed to SKF YouTube channel, our to BIN952 channel, or to Reliance channel for example, and make their subscribers, your Friend. Be careful and use the Tube Toolbox search feature sparingly because it will often make unrelated people your friend.   • 5/25/2010 With Video sites, you can not go on page rank and Alexa rank alone to decide their value and if they are worth your time. For example http://video.yahoo.com a, Alexa ranked #1 site, a PR 8 on Google. But because of Yahoo video site’s poor search design, our videos get less than 100 views over a years time. Compared to the benchmark of YouTube where the same videos get tens of 1000s of views. Also it depends on the them and audience of the video site. A French comedy video site is not the best place to submit your English industrial training video. But titled as a “How To” video, submitted to HowCast.com will do great.   • 5/25/2010 Warning: Do not get caught up in micro-analyzing statistics for your company website, social networks and paid advertising. Too much analysis too frequently waste your valuable time. For the most part, the benchmarks on this slide will serve you fine. Is your website doing good? If you have it up to a PR 3 or better and on the first page of search results for your targeted keywords, the answer is Yes. Once a month view you traffic stats. Are your Tweets doing good? If you see a steady increase in followers and see some interaction with follows, you are doing fine. Now you can view YouTube video stats to see how effective your videos are and learn how to make betters ones. (once you start getting traffic to your videos.)
