  2. 2. Outline Of the Project A system will be designed and constructed to collect data and control home devices via WWW interface. 2
  3. 3. Outline Of the Project Home conditions include  Control of home lighting  Control/Monitor of home heating  Control of door lock  Taking images from a camera 3
  4. 4. Outline Of the Project The user will connect to the server via a web interface, the server will collect data and send commands to the home via an Internet interface using an ethernet module with Arduino. 4

  6. 6. Hardware Arduino UNO We have chosen Arduino Uno R3 for our project.Now,I am going to mention you some properties of Arduino UnoR3. 6

Hardware Arduino Uno R3 is a microcontroller boardbased on the ATmega328.It has 14 digitalinput/output pins,6 analog inputs,a 16 MHzceramic resonator,a USB connection,a powerjack, and a reset button. The Arduino Uno has a number of facilities forcommunicating with a computer, another Arduino,or other microcontrollers. 7
  8. 8. Hardware Ethernet Module (Wiznet)We have chosen Wiznet W5100 as an ethernetshield for our project.I am going to explain thebasic properties of this ethernet shield. The Arduino Ethernet Shield allows an Arduinoboard to connect to the internet. It is based onthe Wiznet W5100 ethernet chip . 8
  9. 9. Hardware There is an onboard micro-SD card slot, whichcan be used to store files for serving over thenetwork. It is compatible with the Arduino Unoand Mega (using the Ethernet library). 9
  10. 10. Future of Hardware A standart control card for all household devices will be designed and constructed. This will enable machines to interact with each other under a standart set of rules. A circuit to protect main unit in the case of power cut Fan connections for temperature control of the main unit. 10
