Programme (Full Time/Part Time) Intake Full Time Part Time(i) M.Tech (Signal Processing) under the Division of Electronics & Communication Engineering 18 05(ii) M.Tech. For Full Time M.Tech. Programme with scholarship: (Four Semester Programme of two year duration) i A candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions. OR
  • A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I. E.(India) Exam. with appropriatespecialization /Grad. I.E.T.E.(India) AMIE(London) or any other examination in theconcerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi.ii A candidate for admission to full time course must have qualified (GraduateAptitude Test in Engineering) Gate Score.b. For Full time Sponsored M..Tech Programme without scholarship. (Four semester programme of two year duration) i. A candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions. OR A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I.E.(India) Exam. with appropriatespecialization /Grad. I.E.T.E.(India) AMIE(London) or any other examination in theconcerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi. The preference shall be given to those candidates who are GATE qualified.Note: The number of sponsored candidates will not exceed the 50% of full time seats. ii. The candidates must have minimum one year s full time work experience in a registered firm/company/Industry/ Educational and Research Institutes/ any Government Department Or Government Autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. Experience period will be counted after obtaining the degree only. iii. A letter from the employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is being sponsored to get admission. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn midway till the completion of the course.Note: Sponsored candidate will not be eligible to receive scholarship even if they areadmitted on the basis of GATE score. C. Part Time M.Tech. Programme (Six Semester Programme of three year duration) i A candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech. degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions.

However, the Vice-Chancellor on the basis of individual merit may relax theage up to a maximum period of one year.Procedure for admission: i. All candidates for admission to M.Tech. Programme must submit their applications to the Institute in the prescribed form as per the guidelines notified by the University. ii. Candidates shall be required to present themselves for a written test and interview before a Selection Committee. iii. The final selection of the candidates shall be made by the Selection Committee on the basis of their performance at the qualifying examination test and interview as indicated below:For Full Time M.Tech. Programme Maximum Marks 1. Weight age for GATE score 80% 2. Interview/ Viva- Voce 20% --------- Total 100%
  • For Full Time Sponsored/ Part Time M.Tech Programme: Maximum Marks 1. Qualifying Examination (Aggregate) 50% 2. Test conducted by Institute 30% 3. Interview/Viva-Voce 20% -------- Total 100%Notes: 1. Appearing in interview/ Viva- Voce is compulsory for full time candidates. 2. Appearing in written test and interview/ Viva- Voce is compulsory for full time sponsored/ part time candidates. 3. Candidates securing less than 50% marks in the above procedure will not be admitted. All admission will be made in the order of merit. 4. After approval of the recommendations of the selection committee, the selected candidates will be offered admission to the programme. They will be required to join the concerned department. 5. There will not be any direct admission to any level above first semester.Reservation: Reservation of seats will be as per rules:Fee Structure:i. Fee for India Students: Candidates selected will be required to deposit the annual fee and other chargesimmediately at the time of registration for which he/ she will be intimated before the dateof registration well before the time. The amount of fee payable by him /her is Rs.32,470/- (Rupees. Thirty Two thousand four hundred Seventy only).ii.
