  3. 3. A. Time• Use of the time should be for you and your organization, not against• Most precious resource and a scarce commodity
  4. 4. Management of time is the art of making use of available time for the greater benefit of the self and organization
  5. 5. •Good management calls for thecompletion of activities on time• It is a component of self management for professional development of the principals contributing directly to the efficacy of over all management
  6. 6. • Management of time is management of people/oneself to influence people to cooperate together towards the achievement of the organizational goals.• To ensure what is to be done and that is to be done on time entails the art of managing time effectively.
  7. 7. B. Pre-cursors of time• Propose a calendar of events for contribution from all• Prepare a desk diary to record your engagement• Keep diary in your pocket for making changes• When change is not possible, delegation is the answer

  11. 11. D. Using Time Effectively1. Take control of time – Work together to develop strategies for handling time – Construct a time log – Analyze how you/your subordinates are using the time – Devise ways for improving time management
