  3. 3. A lot of it depends on what you do  The sky may be falling according to a lot of the talking heads in the media, but you still have some solid options. You just need to decide whether you’re in business to profit, or that you’re just going to give up.
  4. 4. It’s not about a shortage of money.  There’s a shortage of confidence. People are thinking longer and harder about what’s important to them and wondering whether they should spend their money, or just keep saving it as a cushion for the harder times that may come later.
  5. 5. The big question is where are you in all of this?  Have you even looked at the ways you’ve been doing business and at least made some minor adjustments to meet your customers where they are?

I’m not buying into that garbage, and here’s why I’ll never give up…  Several businesses are doing very well  The rate of start ups is exploding  The consumer is looking for comfort  Technology is advancing exponentially  Smart people know that change happens  There are more problems for us to solve
  10. 10. Ignoring what’s happening won’t make it go away, action will.  Here are 3 things you can do right now. First look at your processes. What do you do to get new customers? What do you say when they call or enter your business? How do you communicate with them and get them to see that you are the best choice to supply their needs and wants? What guarantees do you have?
  11. 11. Another thing to consider is …  What are you thinking about and giving your energy to? Stay away from all the negativity. If you have a goal in mind for your business, spend time thinking about how to make it happen and give all of your energy to your goal so that you can build on it.
  12. 12. Okay I’m done ranting … But …  I know that we can all do better starting right away. We just can’t do it if we’re asleep at the wheel. We need to get serious and take action to make sure that we actually get what we really want.
