Slide 2: No matter who you are, your life is headed in either one of two directions. There are no exceptions. You alone will decide which way it will go and the choice you make will have eternal consequences for you. www.webshots.com
Slide 3: You are headed either toward heaven… www.webshots.com
Slide 4: … Or toward Hell www.webshots.com
Slide 5: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? How can you be sure your life is moving toward Heaven? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Slide 6: Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and th e life: no man comes unto the Father, but b y me.” (John 14:6 NKJV) Jesus also said: “Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, an d I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28 NKJV)
Slide 7: Regardless of all the other popular voices nowadays that are telling you there are other ways or that you are your own salvation, or that it is all a matter of good vibrations, Jesus is the only way to salvation and Heaven. And He made it simple so even an child can find that way and stay on it.
Slide 8: Steps to take to know that your life is going toward Heaven
Slide 9: 1. Acknowledge Your present Condition in God’s Sight You have to first do what is the hardest thing for any person to do – confess that you are a sinner headed to hell and going against God because you want to do it your way, and admit to Him and yourself that you can’t save yourself by your own efforts. And admit you need a savior.
Slide 10: 2. Make no excuses Don’t try to compare yourself with anybody else. That’s a vain attempt to cop out, to shift the responsibility. Admit that you are a sinner because YOU sinned and you WANTED to sin, and that according to God’s Law you deserve hell if He based His judgment on your goodness alone.
Slide 11: God says: There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandes, there is none that seeks after God…there is none that do es good, no, not one;…with their tongues t hey have used deceit;… Whose mouth is fu ll of cursing and bitterness:…There is no f ear of God before their eyes. (Romans 3:10-18 NKJV)
Slide 12: 3. Ask God to forgive you for your rebellion and to forgive all your sinfulness The bible says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteous. (1 John 1:9 NKJV)
Slide 13: 4. Ask God to wash away the sins in the Blood of Jesus This is self – explanatory. Jesus came to die on a Cross so that His death and Blood would be payment for all your sins past present and future. But you will have to try not to sin, and confess and ask God to forgive you when you do fall into sin.
Slide 14: 5. Ask Jesus to come into your heart by His Holy Spirit and be Savior and Lord of your life. Another self – explanatory step. He will send His Holy Spirit into your heart and the Holy Spirit and the Bible will be your guide from now on.
Slide 15: If you did the above 5 steps, you can now be sure that you are on the way to Heaven.
Slide 16: Now try to find a Bible teaching church where you can worship and get to know other Christians and then begin reading the Bible to find out about your relationship with God and how you should live. Ask God to show you everyday what you need to know for that day. End of Part 1
