0007 Revelation Ch. 10-11

 1. 1. At the Mid-Tribulation Point Ch. 10 – 11 A long pause for a series of updates about what has happened elsewhere and to clear up some important issues
 2. 2. “ There Shall Be No More Delay” Ch. 10:1-6

Rev 10:1 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down out of heaven.

www.cyberspaceministries.org
 3. 3. “ There Shall Be No More Delay” Ch. 10:1-6

Rev 10:2 He was wrapped in a cloud and had a rainbow around his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like columns of fire.

 4. 4. “ There Shall Be No More Delay” Ch. 10:1-6

Rev 10:3 … and [he] called out in a loud voice that sounded like the roar of lions.

 5. 5. “ There Shall Be No More Delay” Ch. 10:1-6

Rev 10:5 Then the angel that I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven

 6. 6. “ There Shall Be No More Delay” Ch. 10:1-6

Rev 10:6 and [swore] in the name of Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven, earth, and the sea, and everything in them. The angel said, "There will be no more dela y!”

 7. 7. John “eats” the little book Ch. 10:8-11

From the context, it would seem this little book contains the judgments found in the remainder of Revelation (in Chapters 13-19).

www.cyberspaceministries.org
 8. 8. John “eats” the little book Ch. 10:8-11

We note that John “ate” the book (He was told to “devour” it. We use this term to mean gain a thorough grasp of the contents).

 9. 9. John “eats” the little book Ch. 10:8-11

It was sweet in his mouth but bitter in his belly (spirit or heart).

 10. 10. John “eats” the little book Ch. 10:8-11

The judgments were sweet to declare because they were just and they were the right thing to do to a totally depraved and hardened rebellious population on earth.

 11. 11. John “eats” the little book Ch. 10:8-11

But it broke his heart to think of having to pronounce the judgments on anyone and to know the pain they would have to go through.

 12. 12. John “eats” the little book Ch. 10:8-11

In this respect, he was a man after God’s own heart, as it breaks God’s heart to have to pronounce destructive judgment on His creation. But His justice demands judgment and punishment for sins.

 13. 13. The Tribulation Temple Ch. 11:1-2

John is told to measure the Temple, but to leave out the Court of the Gentiles as that was given over to the gentiles and they will desecrate it for the first half of the Tribulation Period.

 14. 14. The Tribulation Temple Ch. 11:1-2

A model of the Second Temple as an example of the Tribulation Temple

 15. 15. The Tribulation Temple Ch. 11:1-2

At present (during this last part of the Church Age) the Dome of the Rock, called by the Muslims Al Aksa, occupies the place where the Court of the Gentiles was originally designated in the first and second Temples of the Jews.

 16. 16. The Two Witnesses Ch. 11:3

The first thing one speculates about the witnesses is that they are Moses and Elijah since they have to power to do the same kinds of miracles Moses and Elijah did.

 17. 17. The Two Witnesses Ch. 11:3

However, it is not necessary that they be those two. It would be more fitting that they be Enoch and Elijah since those are the two who were taken bodily into Heaven and didn’t die as per Hebrews 9:27.

 18. 18. The Two Witnesses Ch. 11:3

It is my belief, though, that these are not Moses and Elijah but two other people who God chose for this specific period of the first half of the Tribulation.

 19. 19. The Two Witnesses Ch. 11:3

They will be pointing out the sins of the people as one of the causes of the judgments that are occurring and calling the people to repentance in much the same way as the Old Testament prophets did in the past.

 20. 20. The miracle-working power of the witnesses

These powers are the only evidence that is cited to identify the witnesses as Moses and Elijah.

www . hollywoodjesus . com / wolverton01 . htm Shut up the heavens – no rain Call down fire Turn water to blood
 21. 21. The Witnesses Killed: Ch. 11:7

And when they complete their testimony, the beast coming up out of the abyss will make war against them and will overcome them and kill them.

 22. 22. Their Dead Bodies Viewed by Everyone for 3 ½ Days

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Sodom and Egypt
 23. 23. Their Dead Bodies Viewed by Everyone for 3 ½ Days

And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and a half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

 24. 24. “ Holiday Joy” Turns to Fear: Ch. 11:10 -

They are so ecstatic over the death of the two witnesses that the people declare it a “Holiday of Joy”, sending gifts to one another.

However, in 3 ½ days, their joy turns to fear as the two witnesses are resurrected.

www . hollywoodjesus . com / wolverton01 . htm www.webweaver.nu
 25. 25. The Witnesses Raptured and the Aftermath

Rev 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

COME UP HERE 7,000 People killed in Jerusalem Quake. 1/10 of the city a heap of rubble
 26. 26. The Witnesses Raptured and the Aftermath

Rev 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

 27. 27. The Seventh Shofar: Heaven Proclaims Ownership of Earth: Ch. 11:15-16

Although it is not an accomplished fact, yet, all heaven rejoices at this shofar blast because it signals Heaven’s reasserting rule over Earth.

www.cyberspaceministries.org
 28. 28. The Seventh Shofar: Heaven Proclaims Ownership of Earth: Ch. 11:15-16

God is proclaiming the end as an accomplished fact because it is just a matter of time for it to become a reality. Satan is only 3 ½ years away from his defeat.

 29. 29. The Close of Ch. 11- Great Foreboding for the People of Earth

Rev 11:18 …T he time has come to destroy those who destroy the earth!"

Rev 11:19 God's temple in heaven was opened, and the Ark of the Covenant was seen there …

 30. 30. The Close of Ch. 11- Great Foreboding for the People of Earth

Rev 11:19 … Then there were flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.

www . hollywoodjesus . com / wolverton01 . htm www . hollywoodjesus . com / wolverton01 . htm
 31. 31. God’s mercy in the midst of judgment: (See Habakuk 3:2)

NOTE: Despite the people’s hardness of heart, God does not destroy them completely, but only gradually increases the disasters in severity in order to give the people an opportunity to come to the repentance.

 32. 32. God’s mercy in the midst of judgment: (See Habakuk 3:2)

Also, the coming demand of commitment to Anti-Christ and his absolute authority has not yet taken place.

 33. 33. God’s mercy in the midst of judgment: (See Habakuk 3:2)

There is still a slim chance for all the people of the world to repent and turn to God, so He’s giving them every opportunity with the 144,000 Jewish evangelists preaching all over the world and the two witnesses in Jerusalem warning the Jews and Gentiles there.

 34. 34. God’s mercy in the midst of judgment: (See Habakuk 3:2)

God is ensuring that there can be no room for the claim by anybody that they didn’t know…that they didn’t have a chance to be saved. Mercy is still extended in the midst of God’s wrath being pored out as in Habakuk 3:2.
