BICSI is a professional organization that has operated since 1974, with representatives in90 countries and more than 24,000 members including manufacturers, designers,installers and technicians. BICSI establishes academic guidelines in order to support theinformation infrastructure of telecommunications and transport information whilepromoting high level education for ensuring the quality of both the industry and theintegrators, to benefit the end user.The BICSI Andean Congress 2012 will be held in Colombia as a trade show and anacademic event within the field of telecommunications and data transportationinfrastructure. Its main theme this year is: "Breaking paradigms in informationtransportation”.
