Some of the audiobooks can be burned to CDs. Not all publishers allow their titles to be burned. View the Digital Rights Information at the bottom of each audiobook record to see if burning is permitted.
Be sure to use CD-Rs, not CD-RW, when burning audiobooks to CD.
Use the OverDrive Media Console to burn the CDs.
You can also use OMC’s built-in audio-player software to listen to any title from your PC.
The audiobooks are checked out to you for seven days.
You may checkout a maximum of three audiobooks at once.
You may not return an audiobook earlier than the seven-day checkout period.
The audiobook is automatically “disabled” on your computer after seven days. You will not be able to transfer the audiobook to your player, listen to it from your computer or burn it to CDs after that time.
Unless you plan to re-checkout the title, delete the file from your computer and players.
All of your OverDrive audiobooks will be placed in a new folder (My Media). If there is no such folder already created in your computer, you will be prompted to allow a new folder to be made. Allow the recommendation.
When transferring an audiobook to your iPod for the first time, you will be prompted to change your iTunes import settings from “High Quality” to “Spoken Podcast.” Doing so will significantly decrease the amount of time needed to convert and transfer the audiobook to your iPod.
