So, company wants to now what should they do so that sales would drastically increase. Marketing Manager Approach to Research Department for getting the solution of their problem.
Researcher Has decided to float free sample of Shampoo (Independent Variable) in Time of India (Delhi Times) News paper to Delhi Times Newspaper Reader to know about the changing the number of Sales (Dependent Variable)

As the name Suggest you will measure the effect after introducing the experiment variable on experiment group but this method only implement when there is no exact measure of product into market before.
After this design Researcher come to conclusion that floated sample is the best mode of increasing sales as it has directly demonstrated the feature of the product.
So, from this research marketer will float the sample if he again come with new product.

Divide the 16 supermarkets in two equivalent groups of 8 - one control group, the other experimental group.
In the shops in control group, DO NOT CHANGE the packaging style, in the experimental group, make the change.
Measure the sales for both groups before the experiment date and after the experiment date at same time.
