What is E-Rate?It is a discount program for schools and libraries.The program provides 20-90% discount on eligibletelecommunications services, depending oneconomic need and location.Discounts can be applied to telecommunicationsservices, Internet access, and internalconnections and basic local and long distancephone services.

  10. 10. HLPUSD Philosophy The district’s Educational Technology Plan is based on the philosophy that educational technology must be used to support the instructional program in order to prepare students for the 21st century.
  11. 11. Professional DevelopmentPart of the district’s quest to improve studentachievement through technology is to provide itsteachers with appropriate professionaldevelopment.A district wide survey was conducted, and thefollowing needs were addressed at professionaldevelopment workshops.
