  1. 1. GOING: THE MISSIONARY FARMER Psalms 126:6
  2. 2. Psalms 126:6 6 He who continually goes forth weeping,          Bearing seed for sowing,          Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,          Bringing his sheaves with him.
  3. 3. A. THE FARMER'S OPPORTUNITY His opportunity is to farm and have a harvest.
  4. 4. 1. The farmer must be Selfless <ul><li>He must choose his land </li></ul><ul><li>The farmer should consecrate the land </li></ul><ul><li>Psalms 126:6-“ weeping ” </li></ul>
  5. 5. 2. The farmer must also sacrifice &quot;I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.&quot; - John 9:4
  6. 6. To see a harvest we must sacrifice … <ul><li>our time and talents </li></ul><ul><li>physically and financially </li></ul><ul><li>our pride and ego </li></ul>
  7. 7. “ We are willing to be inconvenienced for the sake of reaching the lost.”
  8. 8. Whatever it takes: <ul><li>I’ll claim my family, friends and neighbors for Christ! </li></ul><ul><li>I’ll pray for their salvation! </li></ul><ul><li>I’ll pray for opportunities to share the Gospel with my family, friends and neighbors! </li></ul><ul><li>I’ll take every opportunity to sow the seeds of the Gospel with each of them! </li></ul>

  12. 12. Matthew 9:35-38 (HCSB) 35 Then Jesus went to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. 36 When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because
  13. 13. Matthew 9:35-38 (HCSB) they were weary and worn out, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, &quot;The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.&quot;

  15. 15. What Jesus Feels <ul><li>Place the Word of God in every unreached home in the area you claim for Christ. </li></ul><ul><li>Sow your area with Christ-like “deeds of kindness.” </li></ul>
  16. 16. C. THE FARMER’S OBSTACLES
  17. 17. “ Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.” Proverbs 27:1

Response <ul><li>Claim your street/block for Christ </li></ul><ul><li>Pray for the people around you </li></ul><ul><li>Take prayer walks/drives </li></ul><ul><li>Bible, tract, etc. in every home </li></ul><ul><li>Pray for an opportunity to: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Invite to S.S., Worship, Event </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Attempt to share Jesus with them </li></ul></ul>
